Project Overview
For this 1950s Brentwood estate, the owners wanted a kitchen that married classic elegance with modern performance—equal parts showpiece and hardworking culinary studio. Alto Builders removed a segmented peninsula layout and inserted structural beams to open the space, then layered custom inset cabinetry, unlacquered-brass fixtures, and softly textured quartz surfaces to create a timeless, light-filled hub. A 10-foot island, topped in creamy Calacatta-look quartz, anchors the room with seating for six and dual prep zones. Flush-panel appliance fronts disguise professional refrigeration and a wine column, while a fully plumbed coffee system hides in plain sight. Beyond a steel-and-glass door, a butler’s pantry doubles prep capacity with its own range, sink, and floor-to-ceiling storage—keeping the main kitchen pristine even during large gatherings.
