Project Overview
Set inside a newly expanded great-room addition, this kitchen balances Scandinavian lightness with bold industrial notes. A triple-beam ceiling opening allowed the design team to tuck the floating steel-stringer staircase directly alongside the island—creating an eye-catching composition of wood, metal, and stone. Soft white-oak-look cabinetry keeps the palette warm, while matte-black pendants, plumbing, and divided-lite windows ground the space with graphic contrast. The island, wrapped in waterfall Calacatta-vein quartz, doubles as a casual dining hub with seating for five and an under-counter microwave drawer. Along the perimeter, full-height slab doors hide pantry pull-outs and appliance garages, letting the veined quartz backsplash and onyx range hood take center stage. Integrated LED toe-kicks and under-cabinet lighting cast a gentle glow for late-night snacks, and wide-plank LVP flooring flows uninterrupted into the living and dining zones for a cohesive, modern loft vibe.
